Attendees will review the medical management of limb amputation at the transradial and partial hand levels, as well as learn of the vital role Occupational Therapy plays during the acute medical stage. Current research highlights the fact that recipients of prosthetic arm devices are more likely not to use the prosthesis if Occupational Therapy is not prescribed with the provision of the device. The purpose of this workshop is to expose clinicians to the latest in prosthetic arm devices & emphasize the importance of Occupational Therapy in training individuals on how to incorporate the prosthetic limb in functional tasks
